Priscilla is a Data-Driven Experience Designer, Design Leader and Coach. As the Head of Design in SP Group, a leading energy utilities company in Asia Pacific and one of Singapore’s largest corporations, Priscilla works with internal teams to create products that satisfy users and drive business goals. She coaches internal teams to answer two important questions – “Why should we build this?” and “How would this affect our users, business and the nation?” SP Design uses Lean Startup methodology to develop products in EnergyTech, guided by an overarching purpose towards sustainability.

Prakriti leads the UX research & insights team at DBS Bank. With over 10 years of expertise in UX research, strategy and interaction design, her work ranges from designing a voice activated app for foreign workers’ in Singapore to creating an innovative ATM for an African bank. When not observing how people interact with technology, Prakriti works towards improving the design process and UX maturity at DBS Bank. Prakriti is an alumnus of Virginia Tech where she received her PhD in Human Factors & Ergonomics.

Gideon currently works as an Emerging tech product lead at Firemark Labs, working on exciting new products powered by Artificial Intelligence, IOT and data. Prior to Firemark Labs, Gideon headed Product & UX at Mediacorp, Singapore’s national broadcaster and before that giving transformation and innovation workshops to CXOs, business and product teams as the ASEAN practise lead for mobile at IBM.
Before that he served as CTO of two start ups and a UX consultant for a wide variety of clients, from start ups to banks and telcos.

Yengin (Ph.D.) develops a vision at the complex UX world and influences product strategy. He also establishes, inspires and grows user experience research teams for excellence in UX.
Yengin is passionate about understanding user experiences and their complex interaction with different technologies. He has over 10 years of experience in planning, conducting and managing user studies at social robotics, conversational UIs, and ride-hailing technologies.
He is an award-winning author of numerous research articles and books. He also presents at international conferences and gives invited speeches at different events.

Upasna(Ph.D.) is a passionate advocate for user-centred, data-informed and design led products. Experienced in UX/UI research with both usability/ non-usability mindset. She is also trained in extensive quantitative and qualitative research methods. Everyday she is trying to get closer to best practices, industry standards and build what she calls an “UX-EE” Emotional and Empathetic. Naturally perceptive, she is always evangelising the user’s voice through product development and design sprints.

Originally from Indonesia, Yoel Sumitro left for Seattle to get a degrees in UX from University of Washington. From there, he has been globe trotting: first, he worked in Apptio in Seattle, followed by Mobilewalla in Singapore and then he was at adidas Group in Germany. He also worked as a Senior UX researcher at Uber before finally in 2018 he decided to go back to Indonesia and is working at Bukalapak as their VP of Product Design.

Paul Sherman has worked in user experience since the days of dial-up. He is the founder of ShermanUX, a user experience research and design consultancy. He has conducted user research, usability testing and UX design for mobile, web and desktop in many domains including accounting; banking; e-commerce; financial planning and portfolio management; healthcare; mobile gaming; mobile device hardware and software; network, server and cloud application security; tax preparation; and travel, among others. He also creates and teaches graduate courses in user experience research and design at Kent State University, where is he an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the User Experience Design Master’s program.

Sam currently heads design research at Government Digital Services, exploring ways to deepen and scale the practice. Back in the day, Khai Seng was lucky enough to start in a job that paid him to quietly observe people and listen to them talk in order to design better solutions. Currently, he heads up the Foolproof Singapore team, an experience design agency headquartered in the UK. In the past 15 years, he has also dabbled in pedagogical research at the National Institute of Education, taught anthropological studies, interaction design and design thinking at Republic Polytechnic, and really enjoyed designing the past UXSG conferences. He is also a certified developmental coach.

Mitushi is a classically trained interaction and service designer passionate about understanding user needs and creating opportunities that champion users while adding real business value. She has profound design background in field of mobile, web, tablet, retail and product. She has had the wonderful opportunity to gain extensive experience designing and planning multi-million dollar mobile applications (Microsoft Office Suite on Windows phone 7.5 & 8), participate in usability testing and research, and the development of those products. She’s also engaged in exploring breakthrough interactive approaches to design refreshing new apps on post-PC consumer products.
